Tinubu has returned to continue his good work Gbajabiamila

Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has assured Nigerians that the president is well-rested and ready to resume his duties, urging citizens to expect better days ahead.

Gbajabiamila, who was among top officials welcoming Tinubu at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday, said the president is prepared to “continue the good works” for Nigerians.

“The kind of work he’s been doing in the last year and a half requires some rest, and he’s back now, well-rested and rejuvenated. Again, it was really just a working holiday. So, he was both working and resting. Now that he’s back in Nigeria, all hands are back on deck, and he’s ready to go,” Gbajabiamila told journalists at the airport.

Responding to questions about what Nigerians should expect, Gbajabiamila added: “Just to continue from where he left off—implementing policies, ensuring things are done right, and steering us in the right direction.

“He’s the captain of the plane, working to get us to a cruising altitude. In due time, Nigerians will start to see the results of his labor and ours. Let’s stay hopeful and expectant, living in Renewed Hope. Mr. President is back to continue the good work.”

Tinubu’s absence from the country had sparked concerns among some Nigerians, which were further heightened by Vice President Kashim Shettima’s two-day working visit to Sweden.

The presidency, however, maintained that there was no leadership vacuum during their absence and assured Nigerians that governance was on course.
