Announcing the results, the Chairperson of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM), Hajara Mohammed, confirmed that eight political parties participated in the polls, with the APC emerging victorious across all local governments.

The ruling party won chairmanship seats in key local governments such as Birnin-Gwari, Chikun, Igabi, Ikara, Jaba, Jema’a, Kachia, Kaduna North, and Kaduna South. Other areas where APC candidates triumphed include Kagarko, Kajuru, Kaura, Kubau, Kudan, Lere, Makarfi, Sabon Gari, Sanga, Soba, Zango-Kataf, and Zaria.

Governor Uba Sani, who cast his vote at the LEA Kawo polling unit in Kaduna North, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election. He described the process as largely free and fair, noting that only a few minor issues were reported in three polling units and wards.

“The peaceful conduct of these elections is a testament to the maturity of the electorate. Voter turnout across the 23 local government areas was encouraging,” the governor stated.

Similarly, the Kaduna chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) commended the election process, describing it as transparent and peaceful despite minor logistical delays in the distribution of voting materials at some polling units.
