Troops of the Nigerian military have successfully eliminated two bandits during a ransom collection attempt in Mai-Iddo village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The criminals were attempting to collect ₦1.5 million in exchange for four hostages, including three women and a child, who had been abducted the previous week.

According to reports, the military coordinated efforts with local vigilantes and a family member of the victims, setting a strategic trap for the bandits.

This operation resulted in the safe rescue of the hostages and the elimination of the criminals before they could escape with the ransom.
