The death toll from the devastating tanker explosion in Jigawa State has risen to 105, with the number of injured individuals climbing to 70.

Villagers, in an attempt to scoop fuel from the drainage, inadvertently caused a flame that ignited the area, leading to the catastrophic explosion.

Authorities have confirmed that 105 bodies have been recovered, and the injured have been transported to Ringim and Hadejia General Hospitals for urgent medical care.

The fire was eventually brought under control thanks to the coordinated efforts of police officers, firefighters, and local residents.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with fuel spillage and improper handling of hazardous materials.
