JUST IN: Emirates resumes Lagos flights after 2 years

After a two-year break, Emirates, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has resumed flights to Lagos.
The airline suspended operations due to several unresolved issues, including trapped funds owed to the airline in Nigeria.
Flight EK 783 landed at Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, at 3:32 PM on Tuesday. The Boeing 777-300ER, which can accommodate up to 392 passengers, arrived with several empty seats. Although the exact number of passengers could not be confirmed, multiple travelers reported a less-than-full flight.

Our correspondent observed that departing passengers were processed at the new terminal, while the returning flight landed at the old terminal.
Despite the lower turnout, passengers praised the high quality of service onboard.
One of the passengers said, “The flight was not full at all but as usual the services were very good. And I think this is understandable being the first flight after many years.”
